Choosing a florist for your wedding
When looking into wedding flowers consider the colors of the
dresses, the accents etc. Do you want to
use silk flowers or fresh flowers? Do
you want to use a local reputable florist or will you use someone you know to create the bouquets, table
arrangements and personal flower pieces?
Keep in mind the flowers you choose along with the time of the year dictates price in fresh flowers. For example, if you want to use fresh roses
near Valentine's Day you will pay a premium price for the roses. Spring flowers like tulips may be available
at times other than spring, but you may pay a higher price.
If on a budget, talk to your florist about flowers that have
a similar look to expensive ones like hydrangea or peonies. Your florist may be able to substitute a
similar flower at a cheaper price tag. When
visiting the local florist it is a good idea to take in photos of flowers that
you especially like. That helps them get
an idea of the overall look you
like. Pinterest is a great tool to show
your florist the look you are going for.
If possible arrange to see your flowers the day before your
wedding. With a viewing of the
flowers you can feel comfortable that
when they are delivered to your wedding location they are exactly what you were
expecting.....no surprises!
