Wedding Season is here!!  A special thank you to Suzanne and Brian for the opportunity to photograph their wedding day!  The images are all edited and ready to post but there are

I had the honor and pleasure of photographing a wedding in Tampa, Florida.  The bride, Carolyn was a free spirited young woman that glowed with love for her guests and family members that were there.  Her groom, Eric was also a wedding photographer.....no stress!!  It was a pleasure getting to know the couple.  I wish you both happiness and success in your marriage.  Thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your special day!  The edited photos will be on line sometime this weekend.  Go to excellenceinphoto.com, then to the proof tab and key in lawson all lower case and the images will appear.  I will mail you the product in 2 weeks.  Thank you!

Looking Back

I am in the process of creating a new website and I realized I have been photographing weddings for 10 years now!  Going back through the photos brings back great memories of the people I have met.  When I was still studying digital photography all those many years ago, my professor, Kate Sanker, gave me a lead to a job interview with Jerry Wilkaitis of Wilkatis Photography.  I am so grateful for the training and advice that Jerry instilled in me.  It was an invaluable experience in which I learned to love the people, the passion, and the art of photographing a couple's wedding day.  In the year's since, I've been incredibly fortunate to grow my own business and pursue the career that I love. 

I've enjoyed meeting with brides and grooms to hear what their vision for their special day is.  Photography has given me the  freedom of creativity to pursue my dreams and make other people's dreams come true.  I can also honestly say I have never been to a wedding I haven't enjoyed or an event that hasn't been special and I look forward to more weddings in the future.
